Welcome

Clare Island’s Community Centre opened in 1999 and has become the heart of the island for all to use. Featuring a large sports hall that transforms into a venue for concerts, Christmas plays, comedy gigs, wedding after party’s and a host of other island events, its diverse use adapts to the community’s needs. The Anchor Bar & Bistro serves as an outlet for food and drink while hosting live music throughout the year. And our most recent addition to the building is our digital hub, catering to the lucky few that are capable of working remotely from the island, integral to the continued sustainability of the islands small population. So whether you are visiting Clare Island as a day-tripper, or enjoying what the island has to offer for a few days, a warm welcome awaits at the Community Centre.
